How We're Different

Our mission is the continual growth of our asset base, with focus first toward cash flow and second to building equity. Our practice relies on rigorous asset evaluation and purchase methods, efficient development and management, and exit strategies appropriate to market conditions. Kassel acquires middle-market businesses and real estate properties with leveraged and non-leveraged financing through a variety of investment structures.

What We Look For

Kassel seeks acquisition opportunities in businesses with $5-$100 million in annual revenue with gross profit margins of 8%-15% and above with operational or strategic improvement options. We excel in complex situations, including family-owned businesses with no, or difficult, succession plans. We also seek to invest in companies whose growth is hindered by the lack of working capital.

In real estate, Kassel focuses on acquiring stabilized assets with strong cash flow fundamentals, cosmetic (non-structural) value-add properties requiring efficient management process, distressed multi-family and commercial assets, and development or repurpose opportunities of condominium and multi-family assets.
